Plastering in Hillegom
Hillegom features a mix of homes, each requiring a different approach. 1990s neighborhoods like Elsbroek have many single-family homes where residents want to tackle the walls after fifteen to twenty years: removing old wallpaper, repairing cracks, and making everything ready for painting. In Meer en Dorp, there are older homes with crooked walls where rough rendering is necessary for a truly sleek finish. And in the new-build neighborhoods on the outskirts of Hillegom, we provide standard smooth plastering or thin plaster on new construction delivered ready for wallpapering. We know the difference and select the right technique for each project, ensuring you get the same sleek result in every home.

Our working method
How much does a plasterer cost in Hillegom?
An honest answer: costs vary per project, and general price indications usually won't help you. It makes quite a difference whether you want to have one wall plastered or an entire home, whether the surface is smooth or full of cracks, and what finish you desire. What we do promise: a fixed price upfront, without surprises afterwards. And if you have lived here for more than two years, the plastering falls under the reduced VAT rate of 9%, a tax benefit that can add up significantly on larger projects.
Would you like to know the cost of your project? Feel free to contact us by phone or send us a WhatsApp message, and we will calmly answer all your questions regarding the costs. We often visit Hillegom the same day for an on-site assessment.

What do they say about us?
ReviewsStrak Stucwerken has beautifully plastered the rough walls (see photo) of the new extension. Everything is smooth now. (See photo)
We had hired Strak Stucwerk to plaster the first and second floors. After a brief tour, it turned out that the wooden panels in the attic were not suitable for plastering. Fortunately, Strak Stucwerk was able to provide a carpenter who installed plasterboard, resolving the problem. The carpenter was meticulous and skilled, offered helpful suggestions, and provided advice on how to make it look even better, such as creating a bulkhead to conceal pipes and recessed spotlights. The result of this work is impressive! Unfortunately, the actual plastering was initially disappointing. The work was unfinished and not neatly finished. After contacting Strak Stucwerk and sending a large number of photos, someone was sent for an inspection who confirmed that this was not the quality they aim to deliver. In response, they decided not to work with the plasterers who had delivered the poor work anymore and subsequently put in several long days themselves to make everything look neat. They even took our already planned move into account. With the plasterwork corrected, the ceilings were finally painted neatly and quickly by Strak Stucwerk. Despite some delay, we still achieved a great result. As far as we are concerned, unpleasant things can always happen, but ultimately it is about how you resolve matters, and in our opinion, Strak Stucwerk did a fantastic job!
I contacted Superstrak Stucwerk on Friday for an urgent job, as almost an entire floor needed to be plastered within two weeks. To my surprise, Floris came by that very afternoon to take a look. Communication was clear and open from the start, which is incredibly nice during a busy renovation. The price was more than reasonable, especially considering the tight schedule, so the decision was made quickly. After the weekend, the employees started immediately on Monday. Communication was also excellent during the work: when I wasn't there, I received proper updates and photos via WhatsApp. Everything was finished within a week, and the result is exactly what the name promises: super sleek! Craftsmanship, fast service, and a fair price. Highly recommended. Thanks again, Floris and colleagues!
